The Center for Self-Determination is a non-profit organization devoted to working within the public and private sector to move power and authority over resources directly to individuals with disabilities, families and allies.

Stewart Jones is a speaker, advocate and mentor for survivors of traumatic injuries and experiences, and those living with a disability. Stew’s presentations empower survivors to reach their fullest potential, and assist care providers with connect with their patients.
Stew has written several books of poetry, including “Strengthen Your Mind”, and travels the world as a speaker, and disability advocate.

“Educating Ohioans about supportive technology.” In January 2021, the Ohio Tech Ambassador Network launched a program to shed light on how Supportive Technology, can enhance the lives and foster independence for people with developmental disabilities.

The Ohio Association of County Boards of DD (OACB) is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization that provides advocacy, communications, professional development, and technical assistance to all 88 of Ohio’s county boards of developmental disabilities. Founded in 1984, OACB has evolved along with the needs of its diverse membership.

Today, we provide a host of services and supports to the 616 volunteer board members and thousands of career professionals in Ohio’s DD service delivery system.

As a statewide association of service providers, OPRA is a leader in efforts to collaboratively build a statewide service system that meets the needs of its ultimate customers: Ohioans with developmental disabilities.  Currently, OPRA’s Membership consists of 178 provider organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit, providing services to more than 40,000 Ohioans with developmental disabilities.

Their Mission is to support and provide advocacy for community-based service providers to ensure the availability of programs, services and funding adequate to support and assist individuals with developmental disabilities as they strive to achieve a life of increasing independence, productivity and integration.

Disability Rights Ohio is a non-profit corporation with a mission to advocate for an equitable Ohio for people with disabilities

Since October 2012, Disability Rights Ohio has served as Ohio’s Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system and Client Assistance Program (CAP). It is governed by a Board of Directors, primarily consisting of people with disabilities and family members of people with disabilities.

WE THRIVE TOGETHER is an Ohio based nonprofit organization. Since the beginning of the pandemic We Thrive Together has hosted over 6,000 virtual programs including games, classes, virtual trips, advocacy training, educational presentations, arts & crafts, discussion groups, parties, and so much more.

Individuals in all 88 counties in Ohio and from over 18 states , Canada, and Mexico have participated in We Thrive Together programming.
